Agra fort

Agra fort was built in 1565 by Mughal Emperor Akbar and further developed by his successors- it is a massive fort (2 miles long) and we only saw about 5% of it.  It is still currently used as a military base which is why so little of it is open to the public.

Once again I keep saying everything was amazing… But it all is!
The fort was built extremely strong with a moat (with alligators) as the first defense, then the next moat was full of tigers and lions and finally inside there was a huge ramp in which they could roll balls of fire down if anyone could have made it past the first 2 moats.
This is us in front of just one of the many palaces within the fort.  After we left the fort we headed to a local restaurant for lunch.  The food may not look like it but it was really tasty!
Now we are back at the hotel and taking a bit of a rest before we go to the gym and then get ready to eat again!
