Richard and I have been going to spin class on Saturday morning and the gym is next door to the Red Cross. On Saturday mornings they have what appears to be a “yard sale” where they pull the clothing out on tarps in the parking lot and you see people out digging through the piles of clothing looking for stuff for them and their families. As I am sitting in spin class watching this go on it really makes you grateful for how lucky you are.
I think people need to think before they start to complain about their life and instead think about how amazing their life actually is.
- Before you complain about how cold or bad the weather is. You should be grateful you have a warm home to provide protection. So many people are homeless and don’t have that luxury.
- When you want to complain about your job or boss. You should be thankful you have a job as there are people who lose their job and would love to have a job to go to everyday.
- Especially before you start to complain about your family members. So many people in the world have lost loved ones and would give anything to have them back. Nobody has a perfect family- focus on the good parts of them vs. negatives.
