Birthday dinner

We went to Castle Terrace for Richards mums birthday dinner last night and had the tasting menu with wine pairings.  It was definitely a good choice!


Goat cheese, apricot and pork collar

Salt and cod barbajuan

Cesar salad


Salmon tartare of Shetland served sushi style complete with wasabi ice cream.


Sears hand-dived Orkney scallop served with a light curry sauce (probably my favorite)


A very interesting one:

BBQ and braised shoulder of Ayrshire pork with chickpea


Cod gently poached starved with a brown crab bisque and minestrone of vegetables

I forgot to take a photo of the risotto served with beef.


Finally-  mascapone and raspberry cheesecake with carmalised sesame seeds and raspberry sorbet!
