This weekend in Winter Park they had a chalk art event. There were some beautiful chalk drawings!
After looking at the drawings we went into the Morse Museum. The museum was much larger than we expected and had some beautiful pieces.
The photos do not do this justice, but it was designed in 1893 for the world fair in Chicago, then reinstalled in Tiffany’s chapel at his New York City studio. Later it was installed the New York’s Cathedral Church of Saint John. It eventually fell into disrepair so in 1916 Tiffany reacquired it and installed it in a small building at his Long Island estate. In 1959 it was moved to the Morse Museum.
