Brained Lake Hike
Situated in the Indian Wilderness of Colorado’s Front Range, Mount Audubon takes its place about one mile east of the Continental Divide and the resulting chain of rugged peaks that define the local geography. Unlike some of its neighbors, Mount Audubon (13,223 ft/4030 m) is a gentle mountain that is best characterized by broad ridges and large expanses of tundra. Stunning views of the other peaks in the area can be had from the summit.
Chautauqua Trailhead
Royal Arch is one of the more popular destinations from the Chataqua Trailhead. It is a relatively short hike at 1.5 miles each way, but they are pretty steep miles!
Olympic Training Centre
The U.S. Olympic Complex in Colorado Springs is the flagship training center for the U.S. Olympic Committee and the Olympic Training Centre programs.
The center has sport venues and support facilities for fencing, gymnastics, judo, modern pentathlon, shooting, swimming, taekwondo, weightlifting and wrestling. The facility also includes a state-of-the-art sports medicine and sport science centre, and an athlete centre featuring a dining hall and multiple residence halls.
Cliff Dwellings
Our three story pueblo structure demonstrates the architecture of the Taos Pueblo Indians of New Mexico. These Pueblo Indians are descendants of the Cliff Dwelling Indians belonging to the Anasazi cultural line. This pueblo building was erected at the turn of the century and home to a Native American family of dancers who entertained the tourists for several generations. This Native American family lived in the pueblo as late as 1984. Over the years, the pueblo was expanded into museums of pottery and artifacts.
