Avery’s first trip to the vet
Lazy Easter Monday
It has been a quiet Easter Monday.
I went to the gym this morning and did a workout called the Filthy Fifty and it consists of the following:
50 box jumps
50 jumping pull ups
50 kettle bell swings
50 knees to elbows
50 push press
50 back extensions
50 burpes
50 double unders
The work out took me 52:12- so it was a long workout and the first time I made it through all the exercises.
Richard went for a run after playing with Avery a bit then.
We met Denise at Waterfront for a well deserved breakfast. I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach as I ordered the farmers breakfast- 3 eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, potatoes and toast. I made it through the eggs, sausage and most of the potatoes- and that is about it.
Those are all of our plans… just a nice relaxing day.
Avery has been running around playing all day and finally crashed about 5 minus ago!

Avery
So we are finally getting some good photos of her- all she seems to do is eat, play and sleep, but I guess that is what a 5 week old kitten does.
Richard has been baby sitting this afternoon and they both appear to be doing ok.
Avery really likes to play with the camera strap as you can see from the photos below.
Avery’s new home
So- it is not official yet, but Avery is home with us for a week or so to see how her and Yabbey get along. She is pretty active when she is not sleeping… and really little.
Avery is 5 weeks old- and will go back next week for her first round of shots. So until she gets her shots we have to keep Yabbey and her separate- Avery has run of my office and Yabbey gets the rest of the house.
New addition
So we are having a sleep over tonight to see how this little girl fits into our house. She is 5 weeks old and got hit by a car on island. We are going to have to keep her separate from Yabbey as she is still too little to get all her vaccinations, but she can get them next week.
We got her some new toys, a play house and a new bed- hopefully she likes living with!
Week of Work
Monday events
Monday was my last day before starting back at work full time… so we made the most of it and Richard took the day off as well.
We started with breakfast at Cimboco then headed off for some pedicures.

Then Richard and Helen headed down to the Lobster Pot for some lunch and made a stop for some Gelato on the way home. You had to take one last trip down to Surfside to see the cruise ship passengers…
Finally a nice dinner at Da Fish Shack to see a beautiful sunset.

Sunday Brunch
On Sunday we headed down to Camana Bay for some brunch. It was a beautiful day out and the food was wonderful as well.
After brunch we made a stop by Karoo for a few drinks on the way home. Helen had the Ultimate Cocktail… which is very tasty!
We were there for so long as we made our way home… we had to make a stop for some dinner as well. So we headed into Wok and Roll for a bite.
CrossFit difference
We were looking through some photos of Cambodia as Jo was heading off for her big adventure there and I was really shocked at what a difference CrossFit has made when I saw a photo of me just about a month before I joined the gym.
Here is a photo of me in Cambodia:
And here is a photo taken of me a month or so ago in India:
I know a lot of people say negative things about CrossFit, but I am amazed in the differences it has made in my life!
