I have been working really hard since I had surgery last year to get back to lifting at the gym. I am very proud to say I am starting to look like a lifter!

We almost have a finished bathroom!

Graham’s Island Resort
This weekend was a long weekend, so we decided to try a weekend in Honduras. It was interesting and I am glad that we went, but it is probably not some place that I would be in hurry to get back to… but that could be because I am covered in sand fly bites that itch like crazy!
Travel day
Yesterday was a rough travel day, but we did make it in the end. It all started with Cayman Airways (imagine that)… We boarded and sat on the plane without AC for about 45 minutes before we took off, but they eventually closed the door and we were off just a little late. However the engine wouldn’t start so we had to return to the gate and once again sit without any AC. We had said if it was more than an hour we would just get off the plane and not go. Eventually we did take off and we were happy to order a few Caybrews when the drinks cart came by!

We landed in Honduras and rushed to the immigration line as we knew we didn’t have a huge amount of time. It was a bit caotic but we made it through and some guy grabbed us and got us to our next check in counter. Checking in was easy and we were given reusable boarding passes and we were numbers 3 and 4. Back though security for a little wait and then onto our next flight.

A small old plane, but it got us here and they had a boat waiting to take us to Graham’s island. They had a welcome drink waiting for us and took us off to our cottage (I will write more on that later).
We dropped out stuff and went over to the bar and some food after our long day of travel. We of course had to try some of the local beer. It was good, but the food was not the best.
After a nights rest I am enjoying a cup of tea on the patio enjoying the view.
Honduras

We are heading off to Honduras today to “Islas de la Bahia” (Bay Islands), it is a small private cay, owned and is located 1.5 miles south of the mainland of Guanaja.
More photos to come….

Bathroom

This is not quite how I expected our bathroom to look at the end of the day!
Taormina
We got to spend a few hours in Taormina and the town is beautiful. It is definitely a place we will return to!
