Day one of paddle boarding
A tough workout!
This morning the workout was tough and I didn’t want to go, but I went and I am glad I did. It took me 25 minutes and I was the last to finish… but I finished! It was a workout called Ryan. He was a Missouri firefighter who was 22 years old when he stepped off the truck and was killed by a sniper in 2008.
The workout consists of 5 rounds of 7 Muscle Up (Which I cannot do) and 21 burpees. Each burpee is finished when you jump 1 foot above your maximum reach. Because I can’t do a muscle up yet… I did 15 pull ups.
Bollywood
Last night was the Crisis Centre Bollywood event and it was great!
I did go in and get some henna tattoos on my hands before the event, not really understanding what it involved! It only took about 15-20 minutes, but then it had to dry for about 2 hours! Both hands looked like the photo below, which made it impossible to do anything… so I had to call Richard (which was a challenge) and have him come and get me, then he had to help me in the car and put my seat belt on. Then 2 hours later I had to peal off the top layer of this. I also thought it would me much lighter- so my hands and arms are going to look like this for the next 2 weeks!

Birthdays
Dinner at Blue
Birthday Post
Just to let you know I was born at 8:11am CST time 38 years ago. I woke up this morning at 3:30 am- don’t ask why I couldn’t sleep, but had a wonderful surprise with birthday gifts on the counter. I got lots of good stuff, but I thought the book from Richard might be a hint about Yabbey (maybe that is why I couldn’t sleep).
CrossFit Open
As most of you know I entered the CrossFit open this year for the first time. It is a worldwide competition to decide who will move onto the actual CrossFit Games. Now I am not close to qualifying (actually just working to not be in last place)…. but I was talked into giving it a go just to see where I was at.
