Joys of homeownership

This morning I woke to a flooded bathroom… and I of course had nobody to call to come fix it.

Luckily last week I was in Home Depot as saw a wet/dry vacuum on sale and I thought it might come in handy in the garage. Well I am glad I did as I took out 2 1/2 gallons of water from the bathroom floor.

After the water was cleaned up it was a trip to target to get cleaning supplies for the mess. Two hours later it was all cleaned up.

Then I started on my project for the morning- installing the cat door for the laundry room. I got the door off the hinges without much problem and out to the garage, traced the cut out on the door and got out our new saw. A new saw that doesn’t come with a battery, So I had to go back to the store and get the battery! An hour later I was home- the hole took less than 3 min to cut out.

I got the door hung back up and the kitties seem to like it (it did take Ziggy a bit of time to figure it out)! Now we can keep the laundry room door closed and they can get to their food and litter boxes.
